  • Description:

    Support agency's growth and retention objectives by delivering excellent service to our clients. Significant responsibilities include building relationships, servicing client's requests and offering available coverage options, write new business, account rounding, upgrade client's existing policies and obtain referrals for all departments.

    • Provide excellent service to our clients by promptly responding to their inquiries and addressing their individual needs for the products and services our agency provides.
    • Review policies to identify areas that need enhancement and upgrading and follow through by email or telephone.
    • Apply industry standards when underwriting individual risks to ensure that they meet our agency standards and those of the insurance companies we represent.
    • Secure applications for clients for all available coverages in order to generate comparable quotations for the companies we represent.
    • Manage all account transactions including, but not limited to endorsements, binders, cancellations, ID cards, and correspondence. Review policies for accuracy and update the system in accordance with workflow procedures.
    • Process transactions with attention to detail and in a timely manner.
    • Review all cancellation requests from clients to determine a course of action. If there is an opportunity to retain the business, make contact with the client within three days of receipt.
    • Timely follow-ups on company and client suspense/task diaries.
    • Treat every service contact as an opportunity for account rounding, upgrading current coverage and obtaining referrals. Review assigned individual client accounts prior to renewal (90 days for commercial lines) to assess coverage and recommend changes as necessary.
    • Seek referrals from the client base for prospects to generate new business.
    • Stay current on changes in the insurance industry and maintain a file on pertinent information received from insurance companies.
    • Communicate with clients regularly and be mindful to thank them for their business.
    • Communicate with supervisor/manager with any issues to ensure excellent customer service.
    • Build and maintain excellent and professional work relationships with other staff members.
    • Mentor other team members.
    • Document all conversations with clients and carriers.
    • Maintain professional accreditation necessary to meet industry and agency standards.
    • Adhere to workflow procedures and follow guidelines to reduce the risk of E&O claims.
    • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of clients, staff and agency information.
    • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • High School diploma or equivalent required
    • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
    • Experience with Vertaforce and AMS360 a plus
    • High level of organizational ability with attention to detail
    • Prior experience in various lines of insurance business, underwriting, rating and procedural skill
    • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively

    Salary Range is $47,500 - $52,500 per year to be paid on an hourly basis.

    The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.

    Compensation details: 26.09-28.85 Hourly Wage
