Collections Specialist

Essential Job Summary::

Seeking a Collections Specialist that thrives in a fast-paced environment that is looking to join our Finance team.

Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.:

We are looking for a Collections Specialist to work out of our Teaneck, NJ headquarters.

• Place 60-100 professional collection calls daily to customers with outstanding balances.

• Explain and review invoices and statements.

• Process and schedule credit card and ACH payments.

• Enroll customers in online portal.

• Email invoices and aging balance reporting.

• Provide cash forecasting to the collection manager for your assigned customer base.

• Apply payments/credits and debit memos.

• Approve or reject orders and remove accounts from credit hold.

• Create/schedule payment plans when needed.

Requirements and Qualifications::

• 3+ years’ experience required in Collections.

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.

• Strong reconciliation skills and knowledge

• Billing/Invoice experience a plus

• Cash application experience a plus.

• Strong ability to multitask and utilize 3+ systems simultaneously.

• Spanish bilingual is a plus.

• Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook

• Experience in Sanitation/Recycling Industry a plus.

• Fast learner with the ability to work well under pressure.

• Team Player with strong work ethic

• Excellent customer service skills both written and verbal communication

• Strong professional negotiating skills

• Ability to handle heavy email/call volumes.

Salary Range Minimum:
USD $22.00/Hr.
