Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in Houston, Texas. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate customer credit records, monitoring customer credit accounts, and taking appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments.
Maintain up-to-date customer credit records
Manage the aging report to reduce DSO
Handle commercial collections and AR analysis
Use NetSuite software and Microsoft Excel for various tasks
Conduct B2B collections and Commercial Collections
Assist with month-end close duties
Prepare journal entries for accounts receivable
Perform account reconciliations
Requirements - Proficiency in using NetSuite for financial operations
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and visualization
Experience in account analysis and reconciliation
Familiarity with preparing financial statements
Background in B2B collections
In-depth knowledge of collections practices and procedures
Experience in Commercial Collections is a plus
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to financial compliance guidelines
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
