    This position is remote within the Southeast Region (Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, and parts of Louisiana, Florida, and Indiana).

    Job Summary :

    Trane Technologies is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to spearhead strategic initiatives in entering the Container and Cold Storage Rental Market. A Container Cold Stores Rental Sales Engineer is responsible for promoting and selling container cold storage rental solutions to potential clients. This role requires a strong technical background in refrigeration systems and a solid understanding of the container cold storage industry. The primary objective is to generate new business opportunities, build relationships with customers, and achieve sales targets. Reporting to Business Development Leader of Trane Rental Services.

    Responsibilities:

    Sales and Business Development:

    • Identify and target potential customers in various industries requiring container cold storage solutions.

    • Develop and implement sales strategies to generate leads and convert them into sales opportunities.

    • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential business opportunities.

    • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, regularly updating the CRM system with accurate and up-to-date information.

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns to support sales efforts.

    Technical Expertise:

    • Possess a understanding of container cold storage systems, including refrigeration units, insulation, temperature control, and related equipment.

    • Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate customer needs, ensuring accurate and efficient container cold storage solutions are proposed.

    • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and customize container cold storage solutions based on customer specifications.

    Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, acting as a trusted advisor and point of contact.

    • Understand customer needs and provide timely and effective solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.

    • Conduct regular follow-ups with customers to ensure their ongoing needs are met and address any concerns or issues that may arise.

    • Provide after-sales support, including troubleshooting, maintenance advice, and coordination with the technical team.

    Sales Reporting and Analysis:

    • Prepare regular sales reports, including sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance metrics.

    • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to identify areas for improvement and growth.

    • Provide insights and recommendations to the management team to enhance sales strategies and achieve business objectives.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.

    • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the container cold storage or refrigeration industry.

    • Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration systems and container cold storage solutions.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers.

    • Ability to understand customer needs and propose suitable solutions.

    • Self-motivated and target-driven, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

    • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze data, identify insights, and make data-driven decisions.

    Key Competencies:

    • New Business Development: Ability to analyze market insights, identify trends, and develop new business opportunities to drive new customer and market growth

    • Collaboration: Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to work effectively with teams, business units, and partners to achieve common objectives.

    • Relationship building: Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders.

    Total Target Compensation: $120,000- $200,000

    Total Target Cash represents a mix of fixed base salary plus payment from sales commissions. Sales commissions plans are uncapped plans.
