    Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Oncology Translational Science department located at our Ridgefield facility. As an Intern/Co-Op, you will be deeply involved in assisting with the accomplishment of our goal of identifying patient selection biomarker for our cancer immunology portfolio programs.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Lead the effort to develop a workflow for accurate processing of our multiplex immunofluorescence image data.

    • Benchmark test modern algorithms to better understand spatial organization and crosstalk of tumor and the microenvironment in response to our mono- and combinatory therapeutic strategies.

    • Apply aforementioned items towards our current Biomarker projects to gain more thorough biological insights/understanding on spatial mechanism of tumor progression and response/resistance to therapy.

    Requirements

    • Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing.

    • Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the internship.

    • Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred.

    • Major or minor in related field of internship, e.g., Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biomedical Engineer, Molecular Biology, etc.

    • Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university.

    Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:

    • Strong understanding of multi-dimensional 'Omics' data and modern approaches of data processing and integration

    • Excellent programming skill in scientific languages such as R or Python

    • Extensive experience applying ML techniques to large scale datasets

    • Problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and ability to think and tackle problems independently

    Compensation: This position offers an hourly rate of $29.00 to $33.00/hr. commensurate to the level of degree program in which an applicant is actively enrolled. For an overview of our benefits please click here (~~~) .
