Hiring CNC Machine Operator

The Successful Candidate Must Have the Following:

• 1-5 Years CNC Machine Operation experience.

• Understanding of blueprints and drawings.

• Loading and Unloading of machines and change out of CNC tools.

• Basic- Advanced Operation and progamming of CNC, Lathe and Mill Machines.

• Use of measuring tools such as calipers, veniers, blueprints and drawings.

• Troubleshooting of machines.

2:00 PM to 10:00 AM

Description

Level 1-2 Machine Operator:

Day to day contractor will be operating a manual CNC Lathe and Mill with duties including entering initial settings, positioning the work material correctly, and configuring the machine settings. They will be required to load and unload materials and then verify accurate measurements and correct material. They will be performing machine inspection and basic maintenance tasks to ensure proper functioning of a CNC machine and recognizing broken tooling and inserts during operation including any offset adjustments. Daily they will be expected to use equipment including CNC Bandsaw, CNC Lathe and Mill, Manual Lathe and Mill, hand tools, power & pneumatic tools, and operating a pallet jack. Quality control Measuring in-process and final part against drawings using calipers, blueprints and veneirs.

Level 3 Machine Operator:

• Analyzing drawings, specifications, 2D & 3D models while accurately interpreting the requirements

• Working closely with Machinists and Quality Inspectors to verify Lathe and Mill programs and monitor any change requirements

• Writing programs for Lathe and Mill machine and ensuring programs are readily available to continue day-to-day production

• Ensuring continuous productivity to meet production goals

• Reading, understanding, and inputting information on the traveler document

• Adjusting speed and feed parameters for maximum tool lifespan

• Identify opportunities and provide suggestions to improve the design and processes

• Supporting Level 1 and 2 Technicians with day-to-day CNC operations including set-up and quality operations on automated and manual Lathe and Mill machines

• Maintaining Lathe and Mill specifications including taking measurements, observing (grooving, drilling, and cutting), and detecting and correcting any malfunctions as required

• Retrieving and editing CNC programs from system files and executing accordingly

• Operating manual Lathe and Mill including entering initial settings, positioning the work material correctly, configuring the machine settings, and loading work pieces into the CNC machine as required

• Assisting with performing minor maintenance tasks to ensure proper functioning of a CNC machine as required

• Problem-solving and intervening during any malfunctions, breakdowns, or machine errors to help assist and troubleshoot

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $42.00
