CNC Horizontal Mill Machinist | 1st Shift | Up to 30/hr

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Horizontal Mill Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining horizontal CNC mills, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and accurately reporting production and labor. This role requires expertise in CNC programming and the ability to handle and clean finished parts.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain Horizontal CNC Mill

• Select tooling and input programs, adjusting them as needed

• Follow specific work, process, and safety instructions and procedures

• Accurately report production and labor according to company procedures

• Perform all necessary preventive maintenance tasks

• Operate overhead cranes and hoists to machine very large parts

• Handle materials and clean finished parts

• Lift up to 40 lbs as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in CNC machining

• Expert knowledge of G & M-codes (manual programming)

• Experience with Mazak software (Mastercam, GibbsCAM, Mazatrol)

• Proficiency in using measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges

• Understanding of GD&T and SPC methods

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing area filled with CNC and manual machines, catering to a variety of industries. The first shift runs from 6 AM to 4 PM, with the possibility of moving to the second shift. Be prepared for flexible hours, including 9 to 10-hour shifts and occasional Saturdays based on workload. The dress code includes steel-toe boots, jeans, and a t-shirt.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00
