Job Title: CMM Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CMM Programmer with a minimum of 3 years of comprehensive experience in CMM programming using PC-DMIS software and Quality Control. The ideal candidate will have the ability to create CMM programs, inspect products according to quality system procedures, and read blueprint drawings and specifications. Proficiency in Geometric Tolerances (GD&T) and establishing clear and precise records of First Article Inspection is essential.

Responsibilities

• Create CMM programs using PC-DMIS software.

• Inspect products using CMM in accordance with quality system procedures.

• Read and interpret blueprint drawings and specifications.

• Establish clear, complete, and precise records of First Article Inspection.

• Perform inspection of precision parts and assemblies using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, shadowgraph, hardness tester, plug gauges, and pin gauges.

• Conduct New Part Validation, PPAP, and Revalidation.

• Document and discuss unacceptable or nonconforming materials with internal and external parties and take corrective action.

• Conduct internal auditing of control plans and process conformance.

• Participate in problem-solving and resolution, Kaizen events, and 5S initiatives.

• Assist the Quality Manager/Supervisor in projects and other assigned duties.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 3 years of CMM programming experience using PC-DMIS software.

• Strong knowledge of GD&T.

• Experience with the inspection of precision parts and drawings.

• Proficiency in using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, shadowgraph, hardness tester, plug gauges, and pin gauges.

• Experience with CNC machining processes.

• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 standards.

• Working knowledge of ANSI and ASTM standards.

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Participation in problem-solving and resolution, Kaizen events, and 5S initiatives.

• Internal auditing of control plans and process conformance.

Work Environment

The role involves working the afternoon shift from 2pm to 11pm. The work will primarily take place in the quality room alongside two other CMM programmers and a supervisor. The Quality Supervisor is the main supervisor during the daytime. No overtime is required for the Quality division.

This is a Permanent position based out of Brampton, Ontario.
