Through an intensive multi-week onboarding, the CloudLAUNCH program enables and empowers our people to develop skills for success in a client-facing role. It is also expected that you are a self-starter and have a passion for learning new subjects on your own and then help evangelize those learning with your peers and community. Responsibilities
Your Role: We are building our Cloud Engineering organization in two of our hub locations, Nashville & Austin. Oracle is building a best-in-class cloud services line that supports the most fast paced mission-critical customer requirements, operating at cloud scale to provide a secure, distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. Our Cloud Engineers are redefining the world of business, empowering governments, and helping society evolve with the pace of change. The ideal candidate's profile is one who has a blend of technical skills (scripting, object-oriented programming, UX design, analytics and data science) with a business minded approach. You are expected to work directly with some of the largest enterprise customers and cutting-edge startups.
Key activities of a CloudLAUNCH Cloud Engineer include:
Performing proof of concepts, benchmarks or technical evals with clients
Building and publishing repeatable cloud solutions
Delivering hands-on technical workshops
Creating new industry-focused solutions using cloud native technologies
Driving reporting on business activities
Implementing and scaling programs designed to improve customer success
Develop and maintain communication with key project collaborators and decision makers.
Your core responsibility is to help our customers understand their business problems, discover their environments, and then suggest technology solutions using Oracle Cloud services.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (GPA of 3.2 or greater) in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or related degree
Strong software engineering and project management fundamentals
Experience with 2 or more scripting languages (Python, C#, Java, C++, SQL, etc.)
Confident communicator with ability to collaborate and present concepts clearly
Driven self-starter with strong organizational skills
Innovative, entrepreneurial spirit, open to new ideas and challenges
Strategic thinker with ability to build rapport easily with customers and colleagues
Demonstrated ability to balance several competing priorities at once

Hands on experience with Cloud Services (Oracle, AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
Hands on experience with Cloud Native technologies such as container deployments, streaming, monitoring
Hands on experience with data analytics and data science techniques
Experience and/or training in project management (PMP Certification, CAPM Certification, etc)
Hands on experience with skills in CI/CD & build automation tooling (Chef, Terraform, Ansible, etc)
Hands on experience with AI/ML/LLM infrastructure

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from $30.19 to $48.32 per hour; from: $62,800 to $100,500 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
