Clinical Lab Customer Service Representative

Adecco is assisting one of the leading healthcare providers in the Bay Area in recruiting for a Clinical Lab Customer Service Representative in Newark, CA at one of their Clinics. This is a full-time opportunity with the hours being 7am - 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday - training 6am to 2:30pm.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Answers phone calls, provides information as to specimen status, collection/transport requirements or routes to calls to appropriate areas or staff.

• Schedule patient appointments and follows up with appointment reminders and instructions.

• Assists RNs/MDs with any specimen requirement/draw inquiries and add-on testing instructions over the phone.

• Ensures that the patient test results reports are promptly documented and organized in the department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate degree or equivalent years of experience

• Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related customer and/or laboratory work experience in a health care setting, including experience with answering high call volumes which includes telephone work, data entry skills and public contact required.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association

• Ability to type 60 wpm.

• Polished telephone etiquette including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

Pay range for this opportunity is $25 - $29 based on experience .
