    Responsibilities

    Characteristics

    Looking for a self-motivated individual that can create a plan of work and follow it through to completion while working collaboratively with Ascension Technologies and our clinical partners. This person is adaptable, has strong collaboration skills, able to influence others, presents with positivity, and is well spoken. This person will help elevate the role of Clinical Informatics by being an innovative thinker with strong analytical skills.

    Work Schedule:

    Primary work location will be at one of the Ascension South West Michigan hospitals. Routine schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM ET to 5:00PM ET(some flexibility in arranging start/stop times with direct supervisor). Occasional weekends, evenings or nights required to support technology implementations and adoption efforts for clinicians. These are usually able to be planned in advance. On-call schedule required to provide remote clinical support for urgent issues.

    Experience:

    • 3 years of experience in a clinical related environment preferred

    • Change management

    • Project management or process improvement

    • Established foundation using an EHR and related technologies

    Skills:

    • Can establish trust and build strong relationships with clinicians, leadership and partners

    • Able to communicate with various levels of users within the organization

    • Can probe the problem using analysis and active listening

    • Ability to assess a person's workflow or process and replicate

    • Ability to document clearly and concisely for communications and workflows

    • Willing and able to learn new EHR and technology applications and workflows

    • Ability to identify and document a problem that displays the importance and relevance for the health system

    Education: Bachelor's degree required (or relevant experience)

    3 years of experience in a clinical related environment preferred

    • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
