Provides assistance, guidance and direction to patients, ascertains the nature of their visit, assist and/or directs patients to the appropriate medical / service provider.

Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $27.12 - $29.42 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Responsibilities
Greets, assists, and registers all patients visiting the Peter Krueger Clinic for the Treatment of Immunological Disorders
Obtains the appropriate information required to complete the registration process
Confirms the patients insurance status, prepares the patients medical records and encounter forms for the visit to see medical / service provider
Reconciles patient encounter form at the end of the patient visit.
Answers telephone calls regarding setting up patient appointments to the Peter Krueger Clinic and other ambulatory care practices at the Phillips Ambulatory Care Center
Refers calls to medical / service providers regarding patient care issues, directs calls to appropriate personnel regarding clinical / administrative issues, contacts patients to inform them of next appointment or changes in the scheduling of appointments
Maintains current filing in patient medical records responds to request for medical records to be sent to other outpatient practices and outside agencies, files patient medical records and purges them as necessary
Maintains established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control
Ensures patient confidentiality in compliance with Article 27F regulations
Sorts and distributes mail, faxes and other correspondence received in the clinic to the appropriate staff in a timely manner
Assists in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
Attends in-service and other required meetings; attends educational programs as directed
