    Description:

    Saint Mary's Hospital, Laboratory Services - Waterbury CT

    You would be responsible to provide clerical support to facilitate the efficient operation of the Laboratory Department. Duties include regulatory and compliance responsibilities, scheduling and registration of lab work, preparation of documents, ordering supplies, filing, copying, answering phones, taking meeting minutes, and any other clerical duties as assigned.

    What You Will Do:

    • Responsible for scheduling and registering home draws and courier services.

    • Maintains department files, order and manage Lab supplies, faxing, taking meeting minutes, assisting in Lab where needed.

    • Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with colleagues and physician offices.

    • Ability to work independently under pressure with ability to assist where needed within the Lab.

    • Fulfills all regulatory and compliance responsibilities (CAP, DPH Understanding in the operation/maintenance of Lab equipment, computer-based applications (email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office).

    • Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.

    • Assist where needed in the Lab.

    Work Hours/Shift:

    • 40 hrs, Day Shift, Mon-Fri

    Minimum Requirements :

    • High School Diploma.

    • Experience in laboratory environment, medical terminology, Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint, data entry and taking meeting minutes experience of at least one year;

    • Strong communications skills and proper phone etiquette.
