Cleared Sr SolarWinds Systems Engineer

Job Description

Our client in San Diego CA is looking for a secret cleared SolarWinds Systems Engineer to join their stable team on a hybrid work schedule. This engineer will focus on designing, implementing, maintaining, and configuring the SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (NPM), Server and Application Monitor (SAM), and other Orion components, including Network Configuration Manager (NCM), Storage Resource Monitor (SRM), IP Address Manager (IPAM), Web Performance Monitor (WPM), Network Traffic Analyzer (NTA), and Virtual Manager (VMAN). As the SolarWinds Systems Engineer, you must be able to work effectively with the enterprise architects and engineers for technologies such as Splunk, VMWare, or OS, create and provide training to operations teams, develop guidelines and documentation, and serve as a subject matter expert for the SolarWinds monitoring solution. Most of the day to day responsibilities will take place in San Diego, CA but OCONUS travel may come up in the future. If travel does become a requirement, trips will last 2 weeks max and will be booked with advanced notice.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience designing and implementing technologies for the monitoring and automation of enterprise datacenters.

5+ years of experience managing a Windows Server based IT infrastructure

3+ years of experience with SolarWinds Orion products

3+ years of experience managing mid- to enterprise-scale networks

2+ years of experience in an operations role

Experience architecting, designing, securing, installing, troubleshooting, and documenting integrated server or network solutions

Must hold Secret level security clearance

Ability to support on-site delivery and collaboration with government stakeholders at minimum 1 day a week. (with likelihood for growing onsite requirement as stipulated by govt client)

HS diploma or GED

IAT Level II Certification, including Security+ CE, Windows OS, or CCNA Certification (for CSWF compliance) null
