  • Job Title: Process Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Process Operator to handle various functions and activities related to the operation of the Production Department. This includes raw material delivery, process operations, packaging, sampling, and light maintenance. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, have experience in a manufacturing environment, and possess a valid driver's license.

    Responsibilities

    • Uphold company safety policies and take immediate corrective actions in the event a potential issue occurs or when unsafe behavior is observed.

    • Ensure proper pass downs by providing effective written and oral communications to the relieving shift.

    • Pull samples throughout all processes and deliver samples to the lab.

    • Monitor and accurately record temperatures, pressures, and rates of flow for upward or downward trends.

    • Utilize process control computer interfaces to maintain variables within target rates.

    • Perform production quality control checks and ensure that plant purification parameters are in spec.

    • Assist with troubleshooting of potential issues while providing assistance to others when problems occur.

    • Ensure documentation is in accordance with policies and procedures.

    • Communicate with engineers, maintenance technicians, Lab Technicians, and other team members to assist in identifying maintenance issues and planning and scheduling maintenance activities.

    • Actively assume personal accountability for meeting the company's standards of continuous personal and professional development.

    • Participate in training and respond to emergency situations as required.

    • Actively comply with all operating policies and procedures.

    • Ensure that workstations are free from hazardous materials.

    • Awareness of ISO 9001 standards.

    • Perform other duties as required and assigned.

    Essential Skills

    • Minimum of three (3) years of current experience as a Process/Production Operator in a chemical work environment.

    • Ability to read, speak, and write English fluently and understand operation procedures.

    • Possess a current, valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

    • Ability to work outside in inclement weather with or without accommodation.

    • Ability to read and operate computers.

    • Capability to work a 12-hour shift schedule, including nights, every other weekend, and occasional holidays.

    • Pass a respirator fit test examination.

    • High school diploma (or GED equivalent).

    Work Environment & Schedule

    Work in a chemical processing facility that is very clean and well-kept. There are stringent safety regulations in place to ensure safe handling of chemicals. The facility operates on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule with overtime pay for hours worked over 10.

    The pay range for this position is $25.22 - $26.72
