We are seeking a reliable and experienced Off-the-Road and Local Truck Driver with a flexible on-call schedule to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods and materials to various locations, both off-the-road and within the local area. This position requires a high level of flexibility and readiness to respond to on-call requests. Qualifications:

• Valid CDL Class A driver's license.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial truck driving.

• knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.

• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to on-call requests.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to lift and handle heavy cargo as needed.

• Clean driving record with no recent violations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations.

• Transport goods and materials to designated locations efficiently and on time.

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.

• Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement.

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours of service.

• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules.

• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.

• Navigate routes using GPS and other navigation tools to optimize delivery times.

• Ensure vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance issues promptly.

The essential functions of this role include

• wearing steel toe shoes

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 10 hours at one time

• working up to 20 hrs of overtime per week
