    Job Description

    The Cash Services Associate managesthe daily operational and accounting activities of Cash Services; and reviewsand verifies the deposit of University funds and ensures the appropriatePeopleSoft Financials values are used which requires an understanding of thechart of account design and request of new accounts when necessary. This position also provides direction andsupport to departments throughout the University regarding cash management anduse of proper chartfields and accounting. The Cash Services Associate oversees on hand cash processes andprocedures, and functions as the system administrator for the Transactapplications and works with other University departments to design andimplement payment solutions. Additional responsibilities will include year endreconciliations and assisting with other general accounting activities throughoutthe year.

    Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $63,800 to $79,750; salary commensurate with relevant experience.

    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Accountingrequired.
    • 3-5 years progressively responsible cash management and bankingexperience.
    • Experience with automatedaccounting systems, preferably PeopleSoft.
    • Understanding of cash controls and banking processes.
    • Highly organized, detailed oriented, and exhibits effectiveprioritization and time management.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
    • Strong statistical, analytical, written and verbalcommunication skills.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of generally accepted accountingprinciples (GAAP) and accounting concepts.
    • Ability to interact with other functional areas and staff atall levels.
    • Ability to lead projects as required.
