  • Position Summary

    The Cash Application Specialist will be responsible for supporting all internal and external customer needs in the area of cash applications. The individual will apply cash via credit card, EFT and Lockbox as well as work exception reports, enter return adjustments, respond to customer inquiries and complete maintenance for unapplied cash in a timely manner.

    Position Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned:

    • Process incoming payments (all sources) and return adjustments within 24 to 48 hrs

    • Supports customer service/collections teams for payment research requests

    • Work accounts with unapplied cash balances to properly apply payments

    • Research payment posting errors to determine resolution

    • Support team members with payment entry / application as needed

    • Create maintenance worksheets and apply payments to open invoices; decreasing the OA balance on all accounts and educating the customers on the proper payment methods

    • Supports the internal and external customer for payment research and resolution

    • Enter manual deposits for payments received including credit card, ACH and EFT payments

    • Enter return adjustments

    • Handle refund requests for overpayments on customer accounts

    • Audit of entered payments to confirm all bank deposits have been posted to AR

    Position Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

    • Minimum of 1 year related cash applications experience

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • At least 1 year of Excel, Lotus Notes, and Windows experience, to include toggling between multiple computer applications and/or data sources to gather required information and be highly detail oriented.

    Compensation Range (USD): MIN 29900.0 - MID 39900.0 - MAX 49900.0
