Cash Application Specialist

Description We are providing a short term contract employment opportunity for a Cash Application Specialist in SAINT LOUIS, Missouri. This role is within the law industry where you will be expected to manage and accurately process incoming payments. The workplace is located in a downtown area and your main function will be to ensure all financial transactions are recorded properly.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently apply incoming payments to client accounts, including checks, wire transfers, and ACH payments

• Work in coordination with the billing and accounting teams to maintain precise record-keeping

• Resolve discrepancies in payment allocations to invoices as they arise

• Organize and maintain records of all cash receipt transactions

• Handle inquiries related to payments from various departments, clients, and attorneys

• Prepare reports by reconciling daily cash receipts

• Assist with reconciliations related to month-end closing procedures

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements - Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge and experience using CyberSource

• Ability to handle Data Processing effectively

• Familiarity with Epic Software and Epic System

• Proficiency in executing Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) operations

• Experience in Billing Functions

• Ability to manage Cash Activity

• Expertise in Cash Applications

• Experience in handling Daily Cash Receipts
