Job Title: Application Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Application Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer payments, verifying transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role involves critical thinking, professional judgment, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with various departments.
Responsibilities
Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
Post revenues by verifying and entering transactions from lockbox and local deposits.
Post invoices to customer portals.
Place and remove account holds.
Update receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.
Set up new customer accounts and perform file maintenance including addresses, emails, and contact numbers.
Verify D&B reports and credit references.
Maintain records by scanning invoices, debits, and credits.
Verify the validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, purchasing, customer service, and customers.
Resolve valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting procedures.
Resolve invalid or unauthorized deductions by following defined deduction procedures.
Resolve collections by examining customer payment terms and payment history while maintaining, coordinating, and leading communications with sales representatives and customer contacts.
Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Accomplish accounting and organization's mission by completing related results as needed.
Assist with other accounting department needs as required.
Exercise professional judgment and discretion at all times.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 4 years of high-volume, full-cycle Accounts Receivable experience.
Experience with ERP systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
Strong skills in accounts receivable and collections.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with accounting software.
Experience in customer service related to accounts receivable.
Ability to handle collection calls and perform collection analysis.
Experience with accounts payable/receivable.
Work Environment
This role is 100% on-site, 5 days per week at our headquarters in Richmond, CA. The company values teamwork, integrity, honesty, and trust, and has a fast-paced culture. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $28.84
