    The National Health Service Core (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program is open to licensed primary care medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health providers who are employed by accredited sites.

    Youth Development Specialist Pay Range:

    Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education and experience as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

    Salary: $23.60 - $29.45 DOE

    Summary: In this role, you'll be tasked with providing services that directly improve the lives of individuals diagnosed with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI). Your success as a Case Manager will be assessed by your ability to reduce homelessness among recipients by helping them secure and maintain permanent housing, as well as facilitating their path to self-sufficiency.

    Primary Goals:

    • Housing Stability: Success in finding housing and securing long-term tenancies for your caseload of recipients.
    • Community Integration: Supporting clients as they integrate into their chosen communities and access needed resources.
    • Client Independence: Facilitating skills training and independent living capabilities, aiming for discharge from the program when appropriate.
    • Relationship Building: Maintaining effective partnerships with landlords, property managers, and community agencies to support housing efforts.

    Responsibilities:

    • Partner on person-centered recovery plans, focusing on the client’s strengths and goals for self-sufficiency.
    • Conduct housing searches, provide rental assistance, and offer eviction prevention support.
    • Deliver outreach and life-skills training across multiple domains including employment, finance, health, legal, and social integration.
    • Maintain consistent documentation and regular contact with recipients, including home visits, office visits, and phone communications.
    • Collaborate with landlords to resolve housing challenges and provide ongoing support to recipients.
    • Participate in clinical meetings, training, and supervision sessions, applying new skills and knowledge to case management.

    Education/Certification: Must meet Oregon State requirements and be certified as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA).

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science field preferred, or a combination of three years of relevant work, education, or training.
    • Valid Oregon driver’s license and personal auto insurance.

    Preferred:

    • Experience working with adults diagnosed with mental illness or disabilities.
