Overview:
Under the direction and supervision of the Treatment Specialist, Program Manager, or Program Director, this position coordinates the overall services provided to clients with external agencies and may provide some clerical support for the service. All work is performed within a systems-based framework and a psycho-educational model. Work is performed collaboratively with and in support of other services offered by St. Joseph's Villa.

Responsibilities:
Conducts intake interviews, discusses program requirements with parents or guardians and placing agencies and recommends to the Program Manager, Program Director and/or Treatment Specialist whether or not to accept the client.
Conducts home visits to assess family interest and ability to support the client’s needs and/or to teach family members or guardians the techniques employed by St. Joseph’s Villa to help the client reach his/her potential.
Researches community-based organizations and governmental agencies to determine what resources are available to support the client’s needs.
Maintains case management records. Compiles information to prepare progress reports on clients. Maintains contact with designated family members or guardians and school systems. Coordinates community support and intra-agency support as needed for each individual client.
Reviews all Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and informs Treatment Team of requirements met and to be met.
Represents St. Joseph’s Villa at governmental hearings including Department of Social Services and Human Rights Committee meetings and funding and grants application meetings.
Prepares regular narrative, tabular, and statistical reports for St. Joseph’s Villa management staff, Service Board, and licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agencies.
Prepares data for accurate billing for services, complying with the requirements of the varied funding streams.
Uses approved behavior management techniques to work with clients in crisis.
May administer medications, assist with feeding, toileting, or other basic physical need.
May provide direct client care.
May lead clients in recreational, educational, or treatment activities.
May instruct clients in independent living skills.
Models appropriate professional behavior and dress.
Participates in staff meetings and other staff and program group activities, including after school and evening programs, essential for the operation of an effective psycho-educational program.
Evaluates work processes and methods and submits recommendations for continuous quality improvement.
Attends scheduled training programs for professional development that includes, at a minimum, trainings required by St. Joseph’s Villa and by regulatory and accrediting bodies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
BS/BA degree in Psychology, Human Services, or related field. Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP). Two years related experience. Proficient with Windows, Outlook, MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with proprietary software preferred. Valid Virginia driver’s license with excellent driving record.
