    $23 - $32 per hour

    SUMMARY

    Support all technical aspects of electrical and mechanical systems.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Assist the Process Controls Engineer and Project Leaders on designated CASE projects in regards to capital investments, company layouts and the installations of capital equipment.
    • Follow safety policy within departments.
    • Share responsibility for the maintenance of all department equipment with Maintenance Manager. Provide Maintenance Manager with the listing of necessary spare parts to keep in inventory, so downtime on equipment is kept to a minimum.
    • Learn and understand the CASE product and process lines, chemistry and recipes.
    • Assist in the activities for the Process Development Engineer to write, implement, and oversee adherence to SOP's necessary for proper operation of the Specialty Chemicals Reactors.
    • Communicate on a daily basis with CASE Process Control Manager.
    • Work with a team approach and problem-solving techniques to troubleshoot reactor problems and facilitate an expedient outcome.
    • Assist Engineering in establishing key process capabilities on production batch sheets. This is for the proper in-process specifications and controls to eliminate the possibility of non- conforming material due to process variation.
    • Assist Engineering in performing quality review of finished customer product to determine if present process is capable of meeting customer specifications.
    • Assist in the Maintenance and development of the plant SCADA system. Participate in ISO 9002 corrective action reports.
    • Program and commission drives and controllers. Troubleshoots basic control and PLC related issues.
    • Able to read and understand blue prints, schematics, P&ID, mechanical drawings, etc.
    • Manage and maintain Ignition software system by ensuring collection and warehousing of tag data from connected sources, create helpful dashboards and interfaces, etc.
    • Maintain calibration of scales, weigh stations, and measuring equipment.
    • Maintain discipline, morale, and harmonious personnel relations and adjust primary grievances.

    Requirements:

    Note: This position requires applicants to successfully pass a pre-employment, as well as an annual pulmonary function test (PFT). This position may expose the employee to isocyanates which are chemicals known to be respiratory irritants and sensitizers. While TSE provides personal protective equipment (PPE) to its employees working around such chemicals, the most current and best available medical data indicate that individuals with pre-existing respiratory conditions including but not limited to asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and the like are at high risk of experiencing serious, and possibly fatal reactions to isocyanates, even at concentrations below the legally permissible exposure level (PEL). Therefore, due to this direct threat to their safety, TSE does not hire individuals with pre-existing respiratory conditions to work in this position. Likewise, TSE does not employ smokers to work in this position.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    Any related mix of education and experience in the fields of Maintenance, Controls, Mechanical Engineering and/or Electrical. Associate's degree or related certification preferred.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. To organize and conduct all new employee training and refresher courses, as necessary.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Calculations involving mass balance, reaction rates, heat/mass transfers, separation processes, and cost and optimization engineering.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, computer model, or schedule form.

    Employees in this position are required to wear a full face respirator and company with TSE Respiratory Protection Program and Title 19 CFR 1910.134. Examples of these conditions include beards or sideburns that interfere with the facepiece seal or valve function, certain dentures or dental conditions, facial deformities (e.g., scars, deep skin creases, prominent cheekbones), or the use of jewelry or headgear that projects under and interferes with the facepiece seal.

    Compensation details: 28-32 Hourly Wage
