Job Title: Carpenter

Job Description

We are looking for experienced carpenters to join our team! You will work on a new construction commercial project, handling tasks such as curbs, turbine material, parapets, cutting plywood, and capping slopes with metal flashing. Responsibilities include all types of woodwork, backing in steel studs, hand grabs, putting backing in walls for hanging items, handrails, and guardrails. Once the glaziers complete their work, you will assist in taking everything down. You must be able to take direction and pick up tasks quickly, typically within a day.

Hard Skills

• 1 year of Commercial new construction experience

• 1 year+ experience as a carpenter

• Ability to get to site

• Must complete an in-person course

• Hand tools: Belt, measuring tape, square, and hammer

Work Environment

The workday starts at 7am with a 15-minute coffee break at 10am and a 30-minute lunch break at 1pm. The workday finishes at 3:15pm, with overtime available during peak periods. There are approximately 300 others on-site, and orientation is required. The project is located in Burnaby
