    Job Description:

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Care Innovation and Optimization Trainer is involved with most phases of curriculum development, training, implementation, ongoing support and standard monitoring associated with care innovation, design, and optimization. This individual trains and provides support in a wide variety of clinical settings and must work within a team environment. The Care Innovation and Optimization Trainer must make decisions consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health System policies, procedures, and scope of practice standards.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION

    For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

    Minimum Required: Completion of a Medical Terminology course. Graduate of a Health Unit Coordinator Program, Medical Office Specialist, Medical Transcription, Medical Secretary program or graduate of a Medical Assistant (MA), License Practical Nurse (LPN), or Associate Degree in administrative or health related field.

    Preferred/Optional: Graduate of a Medical Assistant (MA), License Practical Nurse (LPN), or Associate Degree in administrative or health related field.

    EXPERIENCE

    Minimum Required: Five years' experience working in the healthcare facility.

    Preferred/Optional:

    • Experience as a Care Team Coordinator (CTC).

    • Experience in education, customer service or leadership.

    CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

    The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

    Minimum Required: None

    Preferred/Optional:

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA).

    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

    • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification awarded by the American Medical Technologists (RMA)

    • Licensed Practical Nurse license awarded by the State of Wisconsin

    Comfortable with presenting in person and in virtual meetings.

    Essential to be skilled in use of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
