BW Engineer (remote Can/LATAM)

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a BW Engineer to join a large retail client on a remote basis. In this role, you will maintain and support existing reporting products within the SAP BW instance and data warehouse, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. You will handle change requests and enhancements for new business requirements, working closely with stakeholders to deliver project-based solutions. Leveraging your expertise in BW4HANA and HANA 2.0 SP5+, you will develop and optimize CDS Views, AMDPs, and various HANA models including Calculation Views, Attribute Views, and Table Functions. Additionally, you will increase integrations with Azure data platforms, enhancing data accessibility and usability across the organization. As part of the team, you will contribute to the stabilization phase of the ERP system, ensuring its reliability and performance. Looking ahead, you will also prepare for future implementations of newer cloud technologies, participating in planning and execution as needed.

- Modern SAP BW Stack.

- BW4HANA

- Legacy 7.X, on Hana.

- HANA 2.0 SP5Database modeling techniques and languages such as:

- CDS View development

- AMDP

- HANA Modeling and SQL Script

- Calculation Views

- Attribute Views

- Table Functions

- Stored Procedures

- Mixed Modeling

- Open ODS View

- Streaming data Strongly Preffered:

- Retail experience

- Implementation experience with newer cloud stacks within SAP such as DataSphere, Data Warehouse Cloud (DWC), and or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
