Description

Robert Half is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our client's dynamic team in the North Metro area. This position will be responsible for sourcing and procuring electronic components and materials to support production schedules. The role will also focus on managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining inventory levels to meet quality and timeline requirements. Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and purchase electronic components, raw materials, and supplies.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.

• Monitor inventory levels and manage lead times to avoid production delays or overstock.

• Monitor and follow up on delivery commitments to ensure production schedules are met.

• Process purchase orders and follow up on outstanding orders to ensure timely delivery.

• Identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs while maintaining quality standards.

• Ensure compliance with quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.

• Recommend and implement solutions for product-related issues to support operational excellence.

• Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to align procurement strategies with operational needs.

• Analyze purchasing data and market trends to optimize sourcing strategies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or a minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment required.

• Proficiency in Syteline or similar ERP platform required.

• Familiarity with electronic components, manufacturing supplies, and sourcing practices.

• Strong ability to analyze purchasing data and market trends to make informed decisions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective vendor and internal team collaboration.

• Strong negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proven ability to handle unexpected challenges and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• High level of accuracy and organizational skills to manage multiple purchase orders simultaneously.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $55 to $70K

• No Bonus
