    Job Description

    Are you a mission driven individual who is looking for a meaningful career? This isn't your average mission. Join HII - Mission Technologies and make a difference supporting a collaborative business development team, working within an environment to support various Business Development professionals, Capture Managers, subject matter experts, and others from across the Cyber Electronic Warfare and Space organization.

    You will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge base in the areas of both business development and International Relations This position is the right for a qualified candidate that can demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills, experience in reviewing multiple data sources and consolidating relevant information into presentations. The ability to support with international projects and customers, following policies and procedures for complaint and ethical outcomes.

    You should be able to accomplish these discrete tasks independently and taking full ownership of the final deliverable to the HII team. You should also be highly organized, motivated, and intensely curious, having skills to complete projects and tasks to deliver positive outcomes.

    This Internship is a temporary position within HII - Mission Technologies which prepares a college student for entry into the workforce by providing emphasis on training and gathering experience related to a student's educational discipline and which is applicable to the business needs of the company. The position is for college students/recent graduates who are available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2024.

    Please note that we are unable to provide temporary relocation assistance or a housing stipend for our internship program at this time.

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    • Contribute to pipeline development efforts through market research by reviewing and analyzing multiple data sources.

    • Present ideas and finding to leadership

    • Ability to initiating ITAR requests for the team

    • Assist with tracking and maintaining DSEA records (ITAR)

    • Ability to be flexible and multi-task, balancing short-term quick turnround research requests while supporting special projects or tasks assigned.

    • Excellent written and oral communicator

    • A professional demeanor, flexible outlook, and positive attitude, even while working in a fast-paced environment.

    • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

    • A team player with strong interpersonal skills and an outstanding ability to collaborate with people at all levels, including senior executives.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent + Must be working towards a Bachelor's degree with more than 60% of the required credits completed

    • Preference for Data Research / Analysis, Economics, International Studies or related Business curriculum

    • Must have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher while participating in this internship

    • US Citizenship

    • Must be diligent, hardworking and a fast learner.

    • Desires to gain professional experience and is eager to learn.

    • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel

    Physical Requirements
