    Responsibilities:

    A Day in the Life

    The Business Development Director is responsible for ge

    nerating new sales opportunities and driving the sales process in order to increase sales in designated region. Builds strong, collaborative internal relationships with partners and senior managers as well as external relationships with prospective clients and referral sources. Applies sales and marketing expertise and knowledge of designated region to help office leaders develop strategic sales and marketing programs.

    A typical day might include the following:

    • Develops and increases Eide Bailly brand awareness proactively in designated market through direct contact with qualified clients and referral sources.

    • Demonstrates effective understanding of the full-service offerings of Eide Bailly and targets companies and existing clients to generate leads for new services.

    • Collaborates with local office and marketing resources to develop a list of qualified target clients.

    • Supports growth initiatives of priority industry groups and stays actively involved in local industry organizations.

    • Leads the pursuit of new sales opportunities with clients.

    • Partners with Chief Growth Officer and other Business Development Directors to share best practices and improve sales effectiveness.

    • Leverages industry and office marketing campaigns to generate leads and increases ROI on marketing initiatives.

    • Assists in preparing sales collateral, proposals and prospect communications.

    • Maintains records of sales activities and results in firm’s CRM system.

    • Provides appropriate assistance with the commission approval process.

    • Effectively meets or exceeds annual sales goals.

    • Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.

    • Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.

    Qualifications:

    Who You Are

    • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field required.

    • You have 10+ years of demonstrated successful sales experience. Previous experience working for a professional service firm preferred.

    • You have the ability to travel same day and/or out-of-town with overnight stay for events or prospect/client related meetings (up to 30%).

    • You have excellent knowledge of assigned market and strong network of business leaders and referral sources.

    • You have a deep understanding of marketing and sales strategies.

    • You have a strong executive presence and demonstrated leadership skills.

    • You have an understanding of common business issues facing middle-market companies and demonstrate ability to uncover needs and develop solutions for clients.

    • You can develop proposals that differentiate the firm and helps Eide Bailly stand out against competition.

    • You can establish and cultivate long-term effective relationships internally and externally.

    • You have strong verbal and written communications skills including the ability to articulate complex information to others.

    • You can establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.

    • You are proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and using various software packages.
