Job Summary and Qualifications
- Position is responsible for the continued growth of HealthTrust’s PBM program at the center, focused on execution of go to market execution
- Includes ongoing building and nurturing consultant and broker relationships, prospective organizations and the full spectrum of relationship management required to meet HealthTrust’s high standards and service model
- This individual will possess strong industry knowledge and interpersonal skills to build credibility with, and foster professional relationships with corporate senior human resource executives, financial officers and other leaders
What you will do in this role includes:
- Serve as PBM and HealthTrust program expert to external constituents in the corporate segment (consultants, HR and other corporate contacts)
- Support other HealthTrust resources as appropriate on nuanced subject matter
- Create and manage target lists for pursuit – including both third party advisors (as potential channel partners) as well as prospective organizations
- Actively contribute to growth of HealthTrust contract volume
- Build and manage pipeline of corporate prospects across the sales cycle (including introduction, deeper review, final engagement support, cross-line integration)
- Be consistently visible in the marketplace to create new opportunities
- Engage with third party advisors (channel partners or otherwise) to provide enhanced client service and support; helping manage strategically the RFP response process for HealthTrust
- Lead outreach to targeted new business opportunities
- Conduct comprehensive market research for prospecting or business development tool-related efforts
- Collaborate on development of materials to support business development activities including educational material, promotional material, webinars, etc.
- Work with Pharmacy services team to drive process improvement earmarked for various buyers
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in either math, science, business, marketing, health administration or related field required
- Masters or Doctorate preferred
- 7 years minimum of previous experience in pharmacy benefits, PBM service HR consulting, business development, sales operations and/or management roles.
- Experience building relationships with HR buyers (benefits manager, VPHR, etc.) and third party consultants/brokers is key.
- Strong working knowledge of PBM contracting, operations, and programmatic design elements
- Professional designation (Such as ASA/FSA, MBA, PharmD, RPh) preferred
- Deep familiarity with Corporate and public sector plan sponsor protocols and requirements related to procurement and PBM
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with third party advisors focused across corporate industries
- Development of relationships with key buyers and brokers in the corporate sector, with intimate knowledge of the process and procedures used to govern PBM selection
- Deep experience working with Human Resources buyers particularly for corporate plan sponsors
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable and confident working with HR leaders and related executives
- Strong work ethic and willingness to be nimble, flexible to drive projects to completion; deadline driven.
- Ability to work independently, yet take direction and articulate point of view
- Key attributes of pharmacy benefits (plan design, formulary, PBM administrative/operations)
- Must be willing to travel 25-35% of time, as required
