Business Development Coordinator
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Reports to: Chief Sales Officer
Job Description
As the Business Development Coordinator, you would serve a vital role within the organization to assist in the achievement of our sales goals. This role will work closely with our sales and service teams and will assist the sales leader in various projects, marketing tasks, event planning and execution. Some key activities may include:
Supporting the development and execution of marketing campaigns and strategies. Conducting market research on behalf of the sales team targeting ideal clients. Act as main point of contact & administrator for Amplify. Requesting Amplify accounts and tracking the utilization by producers. Coordinating logistics with Field Marketing/SRM for marketing events, such as client/prospect seminars and conferences. Working with Corporate Marketing to maintain and update the company's website and social media platforms. Work with SRM/Corporate Marketing to obtain engaging content for marketing purposes. Assisting in monitoring and reporting on the performance of marketing campaigns. Assisting the SRM in supporting the sales leader in day-to-day administrative tasks as needed. Championing the use of and assist in training on the company CRM. Attending regular training and meetings with Sitkins, our partner in Sales Training & Development. Monitoring and analyzing effectiveness of events and campaigns. Producing reports on marketing campaigns, CRM activity. Creation/Updating of custom Collateral including Sell Sheets, Placemats, Presentations/Executive Briefings, Bios and other miscellaneous Sales Collateral requests.
This role is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about marketing and wants to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of the field. It requires strong organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to work well in a team environment. Additionally, being tech-savvy and having excellent communication skills would be essential in this role.
What you offer us:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related area
1-2 years' experience in the Insurance industry preferred
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, & Photoshop), Email Marketing automation tools (e.g, Act-on, other) and video creator/editor technology (Brainshark, KnowledgeVision/Knovio), beneficial but not required
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all kinds of people at all levels inside and outside the organization.
Highly autonomous, able to take ownership of projects from planning through to execution with broad direction
Excellent oral and written communication skills; Good creative writing skills
Creative critical thinker and problem solver, breaking complex issues into simple solutions
Proven organizational skills (master of multi-tasking) with a sense of urgency
Working knowledge of a CRM system is a plus (Microsoft Dynamics)
