Business Analyst

Description

We are offering a 100% remote consulting opportunity for a Business Analyst. As a Business Analyst, you'll be tasked with managing data requests, conducting thorough data analysis, and generating detailed reports on various aspects such as budget variances and reimbursement trends. You will also be responsible for managing projects within your designated department. The ideal consultant comes with hospital industry experience. In that role, should have been responsible for data analysis and government reporting.

This role is 40 hours/week and expected to go on for 12 months. Pay is up to $55/hr. regular time. There will not be opportunities for overtime on this role (provides an opportunity for a great work life balance). If you are ready to start a new role on January 13th, 2025, please apply today!

Responsibilities

• Handle and manage projects within your designated department

• Conduct thorough data analysis and summarize findings for management

• Prepare responses to data requests and assist with audits from outside agencies and internal self-monitoring

• Review budgets and analyze, report on budget variances

• Work on improving documentation practices and provide ongoing effective feedback to stakeholders that facilitate improvements

• Maintain policies and procedures and ensure adherence to them

• Extract, summarize, and analyze data using Microsoft Excel and other tools

• Communicate effectively with senior management, physicians, and hospital or clinical staff

• Provide consistent follow-through on requests

• Escalate issues to management when appropriate

• Able to work well both autonomously and as a team player.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders.

• Demonstrated management abilities for overseeing business operations.

• Proficient in documentation to ensure accurate recording of business processes.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation.

• Experience with training and guiding team members.

• Understanding of business operations and procedures.

• Knowledgeable about policy development and compliance.

• Familiarity with budget processes and financial forecasting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word for document creation and editing.

• Strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

• Knowledge in auditing and ensuring security practices within the organization.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and concise reporting.

• Proficient in data analysis for business decision making.

• Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools for tracking business performance.

• Ability to work effectively in a team.

• Experience with reimbursements and financial reporting.

• Ability to prepare detailed and accurate reports.
