    The Subsystems Make Center - 847 RFEI factory includes product focused factories that assemble and test RFEI Guidance Sections in support of the RTX portfolio of weapons to the war fighter. Emphasizing mission assurance by encouraging initiative at all levels, the Subsystems Make Center manages customer commitments through quality, cost and schedule execution.

    The Building Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all phases of building repairs and routine maintenance, under the direction of the Factory Manager. During the coordination process of these projects, the Building Manager will be accountable for the communication through factory leadership, security, facilities, maintenance, and contractors. In communication with these departments, the Building Manager must be able to identify potential issues, to eliminate or minimize production downtime.

    This position involves direct support of factory activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas. The candidate must be capable and willing to work extended hours (when required) in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. The ideal candidate will possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary, to perform in the required role.

    This position is an onsite role.

    What You Will Do

    • Leadership of maintenance and facilities activities to maintain the production capability of the factory.

    • Engages with factory Leadership Team, Facilities, Maintenance, IT/CSC, IES, EHSS, Security and Industrial Engineering, as well as individuals in all areas of the factory to identify potential issues.

    • Engagement with Facilities and Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Project Managers and Design and Construction & Superintendents regarding small to major projects. Including meetings for design review and planning, analyzing project layouts and sign off on final drawings through final walk-through punch list with the Project Manager.

    • Submitting facilities request for factory readiness for program, customer and military tours, and visits from Dignitaries.

    • Effectively communicate implementation progress within and across all factory teams through the rigorous use of change management disciplines, drive initiatives, processes, and CORE throughout the business and across the value stream

    • Representation of Building 847 on the EHSS Safety council, including active participation in safety incident investigation and responsible for investigating dropped hardware, ergonomics, ethics and environmental issues.

    • Prioritizes project issues and assists in the resolutions process to meet productivity, quality, and organizational goals and contractual delivery requirements

    • Interaction with Program Security and DOD security to ensure proper security procedures are followed.

    • Assist the factory in aligning and executing on annual improvement targets.

    Qualifications You Must Have

    • Typically requires a Bachelor's and a minimum of two (2) years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field.

    • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Qualifications We Prefer

    • Knowledge of RTX projects, programs, or systems

    • Knowledge of Manufacturing practices

    • Knowledge of existing RTX execution systems (PRISM, SAP)

    • Ability to develop solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity

    • Understanding of sequencing for fabrication, assembly, installation, testing and other manufacturing operations relation to specific portion of the product.

    • Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills

    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

    • Experience in a factory setting

    The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
