  • Job Title: Building Maintenance Mechanic

    Job Description

    Perform general preventative maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, systems, equipment, and grounds. Assist in monitoring building system operations and performance. Utilize skills in HVAC, chiller, boilers, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitor operation, adjust and maintain refrigerant, heat exchangers, HVAC equipment and systems, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment.

    • Maintain boilers, pumps, valves, piping, and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment.

    • Record readings as necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment and make adjustments to assure proper operation.

    • Notify appropriate parties of any problems or malfunctions.

    • Perform all necessary mechanical maintenance and operational procedures to ensure maximum life and reliability of all mechanical systems.

    • Enter equipment information in the property's maintenance record system.

    • Responsible for general maintenance and operational duties including performance testing, maintenance, adjustment, and care of HVAC equipment such as chillers, boilers, and pumps.

    • Handle HVAC control systems, including knowledge of DDC (direct digital controls).

    • Maintain plumbing systems, including commercial setups.

    • Manage electrical systems, including resetting breakers, testing circuits, and troubleshooting issues.

    • Perform lighting systems and lighting retrofits.

    • Handle general building systems maintenance.

    • Utilize knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software).

    • Understand and maintain sprinkler systems, fire panels, and fire pumps.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

    • 5+ years of experience in building maintenance and repair required (large office building, hospital, etc.).

    • Knowledge of Building Automation Systems, preventative maintenance; ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of building systems.

    • At least 4 years of U.S. Military experience preferred.

    • HVAC technical training and EPA refrigeration licenses highly preferred.

    Work Environment

    You will be working inside a manufacturing facility. The position requires standard working hours and may involve occasional overtime. Dress code is casual but professional, with safety gear provided as necessary.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, Texas.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00
