Box Truck Driver/ Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for the pickup and delivery of material, assistance with fleet repairs and compliance, and supporting the warehouse, while maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

As a
Box Truck Driver/ Warehouse Assistant, you will report to the Fleet & Warehouse Operations Manager and be responsible for the following:
Duties and Responsibilities:- Live Our Values!
- Understand Total Fire Protection's strategy, business, and growth initiatives.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment.
- Loading and unloading of product into and from vehicles.
- Deliver goods to our customers and other company locations.
- Ensure prompt, safe, and correct delivery of goods to the customer.
- Display consistent attention to safety in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
- Interact with customers, office and vendor personnel on work/job sites in a professional manner.
- Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered products.
- Manage delivery, routes, and timing with supervisor/manager.
- Report any accidents, traffic violations, or damages to the vehicle or delivered products.
- Transport vehicles to service providers to ensure fleet is properly maintained.
- Receive and check incoming shipments against packing slips.
- Stock inventory in appropriate locations.
- Organize warehouse space.
- Read work orders to determine material, parts and supplies to be gathered and properly distributed.
- Assist with picking and packing of all material for technicians.
- Assist with inventory by conducting cycle counts.
- Assist in other warehousing or inventory activities as requested.
- Inspect fire extinguishers to ensure compliance with current Fire and Life Safety codes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Escalate any potential Safety or Quality concerns.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements- HS Diploma or GED required.
- Possess a valid Class C driver's license with clean driving record that meets company requirements.
- 1 year of professional driving experience within last 3 years preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of time depending on Fleet needs.
- Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb stairs for extended period and lift at least Fifty (50) lbs.
- Should possess good motor skills, time management skills, and be able to meet targets.
- Should have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read pick/load sheet.
- Able to work in a warehouse type environment.
- Experience in operating basic warehouse equipment a plus.
- Prior forklift experience/certification a plus.
- Punctuality, Responsibility and Positive Energy.
