Big Data Engineer

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Big Data Engineer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role is critical in the healthcare industry, where you will be expected to modernize legacy systems and implement efficient data flow practices. As a Big Data Engineer, you will be expected to not only cleanse and manage data but also ensure it seamlessly flows from one system to another, enhancing the overall efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a roadmap for data capture from initial providers, ensuring smooth API connections for automatic data sync and changes.

• Work on modernizing legacy environments, especially those related to healthcare systems.

• Utilize your knowledge of EDI X12 and HL7 FHIR to improve our current data architecture.

• Lead the automation of manual processes, such as inputting claims information into various systems.

• Work on API integration, using your understanding of Cloud Technologies and API Development to ensure efficient data flow.

• Use your skills in Informix and SQL to cleanse and manage data.

• Regularly monitor and update customer accounts, taking appropriate actions when necessary.

• Develop and implement measures to identify and mitigate potential manual errors.

• Utilize your knowledge in IBM Informix and MySQL Database for efficient data management.

• Leverage your expertise in Analytics and Automation to enhance our data management systems.

• Must possess proficiency in Cloud Technologies

• Strong skills in Analytics

• Experience with API Development is required

• Demonstrated ability in Automation

• Proficiency in EDI X12

• Knowledge of FHIR

• Experience with IBM Informix and Informix

• Familiarity with MySQL Database

• Proficiency in API - Application Programming Interface

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
