career growth opportunitiesJob Summary: The Valet Attendant's primary responsibility is to assist and retrieve vehicles. Also responsible for welcoming guests, giving a fond farewell, assisting with luggage, providing directions, and any other related assistance.
Primary Responsibilities:- Greet and welcome members/guests to Club venues
- Accommodate members/guests by opening doors and assisting with luggage or other heavy items
- Direct traffic in the parking area as needed and assist members/guests in entering and leaving the area
- Able to effectively re-route traffic to alternate parking levels or locations when the parking facility reaches maximum capacity and keep informed supervisors and other teams.
- Answer questions regarding dining options, hours of operation, Club amenities, and other Club services
- Collect and accurately label keys to ensure their proper return
- Park vehicles in predetermined areas within the parking area, following all traffic laws
- Operate vehicles safely and with responsibility
- Maintain vehicles and vehicle keys secure and safe
- Monitor and maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas/levels, and report any security or safety problems.
- Organize and file paperwork regarding vehicles and daily transactions
- Adhere to all company procedures and policies
- Protect company assets and ensure proprietary information is kept confidential
- Employ professional language in communicating with members/guests, colleagues, and visitors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:- Valid Florida driver's license and a driving record with zero points
- Experience driving vehicles with both manual and automatic transmission
- Strong ability to carry out parallel parking
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must have a professional appearance and exhibit courteous manners at all times.
- Available to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Ability to communicate professionally
- Possess a genuine, friendly, and warn demeanor
- Ability to walk/stand for an extended period of time work
- Accountability and personal integrity are essential as the nature of the position allows access to a client's personal and private information
- Ability to multitask and tend to several requests at once
- Organizational skills are necessary to quickly recall the location of vehicles and their appropriate keys
Education/Experience:- High school diploma and or equivalent
- At least 1 year of valet/customer service experience and/or a similar position is required
- Working knowledge of computer platforms i.e., Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel
Physical Demands- Must be able to lift and maintain 15-20 lbs.
- Must possess strong vision, e.g., color vision, distance vision, close vision, depth vision, and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
- Strong ability to perform physical activities such as standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, crawling, and handling objects, tools, or control, etc. over an extended period of time
- Work is performed in both an indoor/outdoor environment and is exposed to controlled/uncontrolled temperatures and conditions.
- Requires that the individual adhere to normal safety measures for lifting and bending
Working Conditions:- Must be able to work a flexible schedule on weekends/holidays and evening hours as needed
