The Beach Attendant Guide is responsible for ensuring guest safety and delivering an exceptional beach experience by assisting with water activities, maintaining equipment, and leading tours. This role requires strong swimming abilities, physical endurance, and the willingness to learn and operate various watercraft and equipment. The Beach Attendant Guide will be trained in key areas to enhance guest satisfaction and uphold the highest safety standards.

• Ensure the safety of guests participating in water activities by demonstrating strong swimming skills.
• Assist guests with water equipment, including stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes, providing instructions on proper usage.

• Operate and maintain watercraft such as stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, double-hull canoes, and single-hull canoes.
• Perform maintenance on water equipment and tools to ensure operational efficiency.
• Gain proficiency in driving operational boats and eventually progress to operating passenger boats.
• Assist in maintaining landscaping using equipment such as leaf blowers, shovels, rakes, and power tools.

• Undergo training as a U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) crew member and in man overboard procedures to respond to emergency situations.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a safety-first mindset in all operations.

• Serve as a canoe steersman and lead guided tours for groups of up to 48 guests, providing engaging and informative narrations.
• Address guest inquiries and ensure a high level of service to enhance the overall guest experience.

• Follow instructions from supervisors and management to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Perform heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of equipment weighing up to 60 lbs.

• Strong swimming skills and comfort in water environments.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move equipment weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Willingness to learn and operate a variety of watercraft and landscaping tools.
• USCG crew member training and man overboard certification (provided by employer).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for guest assistance and guided tours.
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
• A valid driver's license for operational tasks and transportation assistance.
• Flexibility to work a schedule based on operational needs, including weekends and holidays.

• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including entering the ocean in all weather conditions.
• The role requires significant physical activity, including heavy lifting and working in physically demanding environments.
