Position Description:
In this role, you will build professional relationships with customers and provide sales leadership and coaching to team members. Utilizing your knowledge of consumer and small business banking products and services, you will engage customers in meaningful conversations regarding their financial needs and goals. You will also help cultivate, maintain, and strengthen relationships with the community. You will promote a positive, helpful, and friendly team environment and provide exceptional customer service at all times.
Enthusiastically support the bank's values and mission
Engage customers in meaningful conversations regarding their financial needs and goals, identifying consumer and small business products, services, and digital solutions, including deposits, loans, business online banking, mobile applications and treasury and merchant services, to meet those needs
Open and service complex small business and personal, consumer accounts
Conduct outbound sales calls and teleconsulting
Model banking center lobby leadership
Proactively serve as role model for client service and consumer banking team members and coach sales activities, including opportunity spotting/referrals, joint selling, outbound calling, and lobby management
Cultivate professional relationships with customers, listening carefully to their needs and displaying empathy to provide the best service possible
Display a high degree of integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism at all times
Actively promote teamwork, leading by example and taking initiative to assist others
Complete all essential training and display enthusiasm for continuous learning, accepting constructive feedback from more experienced team members
Maintain consistently good punctuality and attendance to work
Follow Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines to protect customers and bank assets
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of bank products and services (e.g., online banking, mobile banking applications, banking cards)
Knowledge of bank policies and procedures
Ability to provide excellent customer service and demonstrate a helpful, friendly, approachable, enthusiastic, and professional disposition
Ability to demonstrate confidence and act as an accomplished and persuasive inside sales leader
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to demonstrate team player approach, capable of thriving in a continually changing environment
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills and accurate and efficient productivity, including attention to detail
Ability to work autonomously
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to follow policy and procedure including safety and security procedures
Ability to travel to other work locations (e.g., training, staffing shortages), as needed
Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office applications necessary to perform essential job functions.

Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
1+ year retail customer service and/or sales experience required
Knowledge of business and consumer products required
Knowledge of, experience with and ability to explain bank products, online banking, mobile banking applications, banking cards, etc. preferred
Proven ability to achieve sales goals and financial targets preferred
Experience in a leadership and/or coaching role strongly preferred
NMLS required
