    Description

    The Baker is responsible and accountable for the quality and quantities of the baked goods produced for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and catering items.

    Job Duties
    • Enforce the guidelines, policies, and procedures set by the Food Service Department
    • Practice great customer service to ensure all food service guests have a memorable experience
    • Accountable for the quality and quantity of baked goods produced
    • Responsible for the safety, sanitation and cleanliness of the bakery production area
    • Responsible for the production of breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and catering items that are posted in the daily menus and catering submissions on a daily/weekly rotation
    • Accountable for the timely preparation of each catered item that leaves the bakery department
    • Responsible for the daily production of baked goods to be sold in the Pirate Cove
    • In charge of inventory of all baked goods and reporting what is needed to the area manager
    • Responsible for the plating and service of bakery items for all meal/catering services
    • Accountable for the presentation of all baked goods that are used for catering events and meal services
    • Ensuring that FIFO is being implemented in the bakery at all times
    • Accountable for the proper storage and handling of all ingredients and inventory in the bakery station belonging to Food Service
    • Assisting with menu development and cost controls
    • Ability to quickly convert and quantify recipes as needed without interruption of production
    • Professionally work alongside the Culinary Arts department in order to maintain strong working relationships
    • Participate in meetings, workshops, conferences and other industry-related events as assigned by the Food Service Manager for professional development
    • Regular, prompt & reliable attendance
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service department
    Qualifications
    • High school diploma or GED, post-secondary education preferred
    • 2 to 5 years' experience in a baking environment
    • Skills to compute portions and extend recipes
    • Enthusiastic and dedicated to the challenges of helping other people
    • Ability to function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, customer oriented team
    • Professional in communications, appearance, relationships, and responsiveness
    • Positive attitude
    • Ability to pass a background check
    Physical Demands
    • Ability to stand for extended periods
    • Ability to lift 30-50lbs
