AWS Security Engineer - No C2C

*This position must work W2 and cannot work C2C.

*Candidates must also be able to work a hybrid schedule being on site 3 days a week and 2 days remote at our location in Dallas, TX

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced AWS Security Engineer to join our team. As an AWS Security Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of our AWS infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, implement security best practices, and track infrastructure components.

Key Responsibilities

• Vulnerability Management: Leverage native AWS services (such as Amazon Inspector) to identify and remediate vulnerabilities across our AWS environment.

• Golden Images: Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to create and maintain secure golden images for EC2 instances.

• EC2 Image Vulnerability Assessment: Develop processes to assess vulnerabilities in EC2 images, including using tools like Inspector or custom scripts.

• Infrastructure Bill of Materials (IBOM): Implement strategies to track and manage the IBOM, ensuring visibility into all infrastructure components.

• Security Best Practices: Advise on security best practices, including IAM policies, network security, and encryption.

• Incident Response: Contribute to incident response efforts related to security incidents in the AWS environment.
