    Role Summary/Purpose:

    Microsoft document management and process automation technology is used across all functions in Synchrony to manage and automate thousands of business processes to drive client collaboration and increase team productivity and efficiency. The AVP, Workflow Automation Lead will be responsible for driving workflow process automation, including adoption and support with the Microsoft Power Platform and related Microsoft 365 technologies. They will collaborate across all functions to help users resolve complex problems through automation, while reducing risk and maintaining high security standards. This person will help strategize the cloud collaboration technology roadmap, drive tool adoption, and own escalations and change management activities related to SharePoint and Power Platform.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Expert knowledge in Microsoft 365 services including Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure Dataverse, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365 Administration.

    • Expert knowledge of PowerShell, API's, and 3rd party integrations.

    • Select the most appropriate technology for a problem while minimizing risk and security concerns, driving and overseeing development through build and operations.

    • Lead operations for large mission critical platforms including SharePoint, OneDrive, Nintex, and Power Platform.

    • Lead the technical delivery of custom development, integration, and data migration for cloud.

    • Provide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to citizen developers through coaching and mentorship.

    • Work on the overall solution engaging with other architecture colleagues on UI, API and service level with logic workflow, integration strategy and technical blueprint.

    • Own development of highly customized intranet and custom solutions in partnership with stakeholders.

    • Configure and manage on-prem and cloud environments to ensure high availability and resilience.

    • Lead team and end user adoption campaigns for existing and future technology expansion including Power Platform and Azure.

    • Create processes and procedures using automation technologies that adhere to security, governance, and risk policies.

    • Perform a complex range of technical work activities to business and functional requirements.

    • Contribute to the design and implementation of solutions to meet business requirements.

    • Adhere to Agile methodologies in the ongoing support, build, and release of custom solutions.

    • Ensures that operational documentation is updated regularly to support growing environment

    • Develop best practice procedures and guidelines to ensure consistent compliance to client and company procedures.

    • Provide specialist guidance and advice to less experienced colleagues and end users to ensure a consistent approach.

    • Incorporate automation wherever possible to eliminate unnecessary tasks and help drive self-service automation throughout the business

    • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field

    • 6+ years' experience in managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting large enterprise environments.

    • 6+ years' experience in migration of heavy workloads to cloud

    • Good knowledge on ITIL frameworks

    • Excellent knowledge and troubleshooting skills in Microsoft Windows Server Administration.

    • Expert knowledge in SharePoint 2016, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Nintex Workflows and Forms.

    • Expert in the Microsoft Power Platform to build and support automation and custom solutions.

    • Designs, plans, and implements procedures for optimization, security, etc. for an enterprise environment.

    • Support subset applications to support Active Directory as a whole, i. e., Microsoft 365 services, Azure Active Directory Connect (AADConnect) and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and support.

    • Proficient with server user management, file permissions, Active Directory, group polices, security.

    • Must have experience in performing RCA, reporting after resolutions.

    • Excellent knowledge of the software development life cycle

    • Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software

    • Must have excellent debugging and problem analysis skills.

    • Analytical abilities, strong technical and communication skills.

    • Willing to work outside business hours for as needed support.

    Desired Characteristics:

    • BS/BA in Computer Science, Business, Management, or other technical degree. 

    • Experience working in a regulated environment 

    • Strong knowledge of conference room technology (e.g., control systems, video systems, audioconference phones, microphones, displays, speakers, etc.) 

    • Experience with network and multiple OS (Operating System) platforms (e.g., Windows, MacOS, Chrome OS, etc.) 

    • A disciplined planner, strong driver and highly collaborative leader who has proven experience working cross-functionally in highly matrixed organizations to deliver outcomes and to drive change 

    • Results oriented with strong program management skills and a solid understanding of video collaboration technologies and platforms 

    • Superior oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to manage expectations of the business, clients, team members, and management 

    • Creativity, enthusiasm, and energy with a strong customer "can do" attitude and result oriented 

    • Experience working on large multi-tiered projects and programs 

    • Hands on, self-motivated professional style with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple initiatives 

    • Acts as an owner with a sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership  

    • Strong leadership, analytic and problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities 

    • Experience influencing and directing people of all roles and levels outside of their reporting structure 

    Grade/Level: 11

    The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

    Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

    Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • You must be 18 years or older

    • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

    • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

    • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

    • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
