    Role Summary/Purpose:

    We are seeking a Senior Art Director who has a passion for creating award-winning work and is an excellent conceptual/strategic thinker, as well as a natural collaborator and storyteller, to join Goldmind, Synchrony's in-house agency. Our ideal candidate has exceptional design skills in all things digital, such as interactive banners, social media, email campaigns, presentations, consumer journeys, landing pages including still and motion-based executions. The Senior Art Director solves problems in collaboration with creative directors, associate creative directors, creative strategists, copywriters, project managers, account team and more. Responsible for being hands on designing for internal initiatives, as well as national advertising and marketing campaigns across the Synchrony enterprise that focus on internal and external B2B and B2C campaigns.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Responsible for being hands on to concept and execute from start to finish on a wide range of creative projects including but not limited to: national advertising campaigns, email campaigns, social media, banner ads, environmental design, presentations and landing pages

    • Collaborate with creative directors, associate creative directors, graphic designers, proofreaders, animators, project managers, content strategists, account and front-end developers and/or additional outside vendors as required as they relate to a project

    • Follow a creative brief and work with account managers and project managers to ensure assignment is clearly outlined and estimated

    • Understand strategic marketing initiatives and campaign strategies

    • Question client/marketing strategy when it doesn't align with market research, follow the creative brief, or meet the needs of the consumer

    • Conduct and participate in creative reviews

    • Present work to peers, managers, clients, and executive leadership

    • Follow budgets, timelines, and internal processes for each project

    • Work expeditiously on a high volume of projects with constantly changing deadlines

    • Detail oriented, make sure all objectives are being met and that work is error-free

    • Offer new ideas for creative processes and collaboration

    • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

    Qualifications/Requirements

    MUST PROVIDE A PORTFOLIO/WORK SAMPLES TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE.

    • Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts OR in lieu of degree a high school diploma and 12 years of work experience in visual design and management experience

    • A minimum of 6 years of professional advertising agency experience and/or work within an in-house creative team involved with national advertising campaigns, email campaigns, social media, banner ads, environmental design, presentations and landing pages

    • Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, Workfront)

    • Proficient in UX/UI programs such as Figma

    • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

    Grade/Level: 10

    The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

    Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

    Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • You must be 18 years or older

    • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

    • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

    • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

    • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
