    This position is in Cargill's protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

    The Autobox System Control Operator will provide box flow throughout the system allowing for greatest opportunity to achieve the highest level of customer service by ensuring all boxes are loaded and available to billing department with adequate time to complete the billing process prior to the Required Departure Time or the Order Drops Dead.

    Shift Available: 2nd shift

    Compensation: $27.45

    Principal Accountabilities:

    • Order loading: Follow priority loading practice, ensure all product is available prior to beginning process, commit, queue, and release loads in appropriate order.

    • System inventory: Monitor inventory for over production, monitor product for: in inventory, not produced records, quarantine products as needed to restrict shipment, i.e. Gov't grind test.

    • System operation: Monitor cranes for proper operation, monitor conveyors for operation, communicate system activities to loading personnel, pull audit boxes.

    • System errors: Perform regular system cleaning, print reports for operational reference, take appropriate steps including notification of Retrotech to correct failures.

    • General Office duties: Communicate operational needs for successful order fulfillment, Any additional task or duties requested by the area supervisor or that become necessary for our department to be successful, Provide creative and innovative ideas to improve our business processes

    Required Qualifications:

    • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

    • Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old

    • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.

    • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

    • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)

    • Exceptional computer experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

    • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice.

    • Working knowledge/experience of all shipping processes

    • Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

    • Minimum of one year of inventory control experience

    • Must have good attendance and job performance history.
