    We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for two meticulous Auditing Clerks based in Northville, Michigan. This role is primarily focused on reviewing various documents and records to ensure the accuracy of benefits being paid by employers to administrators. These successful candidates will need to be adept at identifying discrepancies, updating audit information, and communicating effectively with clients to address any concerns or errors. These positions are ideal for recent college graduates, or those looking to start their career within accounting.

    Responsibilities of the Auditing Clerk

    • Review and analyze employment, tax, and payroll documents to ascertain the accuracy of benefits being paid by employers.

    • Update and track audit information regularly in detailed Excel spreadsheets.

    • Utilize spreadsheet information to finalize audits and client billing.

    • Monitor and update client database information to determine the timing of client audits.

    • Conduct meetings with clients to discuss final audits and address any inconsistencies, errors, or concerns.

    • Generate and review payroll audit progress reports that track outstanding delinquencies found through the auditing process.

    • Present audit progress reports to trustees for examination.

    • Process all payments made on audit balances.

    • Provide regular audit program status reports at joint delinquency committee meetings.

    • Perform audit reviews on workers and administrators.

    Skills

    • Proficiency in Auditing, Annual Internal Audit, Data Entry, Audit Compliance, Annual External Audit, Audit Reviews, Audit Reports, and Conduct Audits.

    • Ability to identify discrepancies and correct erroneous data.

    • Ability to multitask and wear multiple hats in a fast-paced environment.

    Requirements - Proficient in Auditing practices and principles

    • Experience with Annual Internal Audit and Annual External Audit

    • Proficient in Data Entry

    • Experience in Audit Compliance

    • Ability to perform Audit Reviews

    • Able to compile and present Audit Reports

    • Understanding and ability to Conduct Audits

    • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    • High attention to detail and a strong ability to multi-task

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    • Strong knowledge of financial software and databases

    • High level of integrity and dependability

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
