Audit Sr. - Public

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Audit Sr. - Public in the tax consulting industry. The role is based in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The successful candidate will work within a public accounting firm, focusing on audit-related tasks and client management.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage audit engagements effectively and within a timely manner

• Utilize Thompson Reuters software for audit-related tasks and processes

• Continually work towards obtaining a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification, as this is vital for progression within the role

• Maintain accurate records of client accounts and take appropriate action where necessary

• Handle customer inquiries and provide solutions promptly

• Work on maintaining a work-life balance while managing a hybrid remote schedule

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial auditing

• Continuously update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations

• Exhibit proficiency in public audit with at least 2+ years of experience

• Regularly communicate with the team and other stakeholders on work status. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in public auditing or a related field

• Proficient in conducting financial audits

• Demonstrated ability to lead audit engagements

• Must be on a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) track or willing to pursue it

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of integrity and professionalism

• Proficient in using auditing software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Knowledge of tax consulting industry trends and regulations

• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
