Attorney/Lawyer

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will lead a team of pre-litigation paralegals and legal assistants, conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and mentor junior attorneys. Your main duty will be to provide leadership and mentorship, with a focus on personal injury cases.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of pre-litigation paralegals and legal assistants, providing guidance, mentoring, and leadership.

• Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and strategy.

• Draft pleadings and other legal documentation, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

• Assist where needed, showing versatility and a willingness to contribute to various legal tasks.

• Manage personal injury cases, applying your expertise in this area to ensure successful outcomes.

• Utilize legal software such as 3M, Case Management Software, LexisNexis, and Management System to manage and track cases.

• Oversee claim administration, complaint handling, and other administrative tasks related to case management.

• Ensure thorough documentation of all case details, maintaining accurate records.

• Utilize bilingual skills in Spanish, if applicable, to communicate with a diverse clientele.

• Continually develop and enhance your skills in Civil Litigation and Personal Injury Law. Requirements - Must hold a valid license to practice law in the respective jurisdiction

• A minimum of three years of work experience as an attorney/lawyer

• Proven experience with civil litigation and personal injury law

• Proficient in using legal software such as LexisNexis and case management software

• Familiarity with 3M Management System

• Demonstrable skills in complaint handling and claim administration

• Strong ability to draft and review legal documents and briefings

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong research and report-writing skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

• High level of professional ethics and integrity

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
