    Red Hat's North America Services team is adding an Associate Manager, Professional Development in the U.S. In this role, you will support the Professional Development Practice, a program that guides technical services consultants to success in the field and within the company. Primary responsibilities include people management, program development, and leadership and You'll provide mentorship, advocacy, and leadership and your efforts will have an organizational impact as you support associates throughout their career development.

    What You Will Do

    People management responsibilities for ~20 associates to include:

    • Provide career path and promotion guidance

    • Encourage training and professional development

    • Be the voice of organizational goals and objectives

    • Collaboratively create goals for your associates that combine their passions and talents with business objectives

    • Gather and provide regular feedback on what is working well and areas of improvement

    • Provide recognition for achievements and milestones

    • Address performance and/or behavior challenges as necessary

    • Hold recurring 1:1 discussions and ad-hoc meetings to ensure associates have the support and guidance they need to succeed

    • Manage the on-boarding of new Red Hat Consulting associates into the organization

    • Work with the Resource Management Office and other Services Managers on identifying projects that associates can be assigned to

    Program development and leadership activities

    • Contribute to and refine programmatic efforts supporting the Professional Development Practice

    • Improve and revise program content and processes

    • Support organizational selection, assessment, interviewing, and hiring activities

    • Collaborate with various internal teams to expand and enhance the programmatic ties

    • Promote practices and processes developed in the program to the larger Red Hat Consulting teams

    • Be an ambassador of company culture

    What You Will Bring

    • Experience leading and mentoring others including, people management or team lead experience

    • Ability to identify potential, motivate, inspire, and develop a team of professionals

    • Experience with associate on-boarding activities

    • An understanding of the technical consulting ecosystem and services business model

    • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills

    • Proven ability to work on your own, navigate a complex environment, and carry out plans with excellence in a fast-paced environment

    • Ability to collaborate effectively with associates from diverse cultural backgrounds

    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English

    • Passion for learning and sharing your knowledge and experience

    • Comfortable working with a distributed team and the ability to travel as required

    • Familiarity with Red Hat's portfolio of offerings and subscription business model

    • Knowledge of open source software solutions and open source as a business model

    • Experience in sales or in a role supporting sales is preferred

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required

    The salary range for this position is $111,260.00 - $183,580.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

    Pay Transparency

    Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat's compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
