    Job Description:

    The SAS Contract Operations department has a need for an Associate Manager, Contracts to oversee a team of contracts professionals who process orders and quotes against various long-term agreements and price lists. This position is to expand the programs the team current supports and to manage the junior professionals performing the order processing. This position will communicate within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches. Make significant improvements in processes, systems, or products. Provide input into new products/processes and implement operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.

    Essential Functions:

    • Oversee a team of 10-12 early career contracts professionals.

    • Develop a new college grad training program and plan to deploy new college grads to the businesses.

    • Oversee Contracts Administrative Services group to include Novation and ~~~ support.

    • Develop metrics relative to Contract Closeouts and present status on a routine basis to Executives.

    • Candidate shall be a forward thinking, change agent. Evidence of implementing positive change is required.

    • Ensure internal customer engagement is satisfactory and begin appropriate communications with external customers when designing quoting department within contracts operations.

    • Develop and manage a Quoting and Order management team who will be responsible for RFP review and risk assessment, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities for assigned contracts/programs.

    • Provides proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

    • Ability to think critically, problem solve and work independently.

    • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work in a team environment.

    • Ability to multi-task and determine priorities while working on multiple assignments.

    • Conducts change management process with internal team and communicate equitable adjustment rights to customers.

    • Ability to clearly present information to broad audience, inclusive of management.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 6 years prior relevant contracts experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related contracts experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related contracts experience.

    • Proficient in using PeopleSoft or similar contract management systems.

    • Knowledgeable in FAR, DFAR, and CAS regulations.

    • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

    Preferred Additional Skills:

    • Proven expertise in business and financial management.

    • Established ability to cultivate and maintain relationships.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

    • NCMA professional certifications (CPCM, CFCM, etc.) are highly desirable.

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $90,000 - $167,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
