The Associate, Fixed Assets , will be responsible for establishing best practices related to the monthly close process and account reconciliation process to operate in and efficient and effective manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of activities including Fixed Assets, IFRS 16 and Year-end audit preparation.

The Associate, Fixed Assets (Central & South), collaborates closely with various Accounting and Finance teams, assist in ad hoc projects, continuously work to improve the efficiency of the accounting and reporting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly ,quarterly and year end close. Overview month end close activities related to fixed assets, including preparing standard and miscellaneous journal entries, account reconciliation, etc.

• Analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy

• Support for internal and external audit activities, as appropriate

• Support special projects, as appropriate, with General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Tax, Structured Finance, Accounts Payable and Controlling

• Provide ad-hoc analysis as needed for internal customers and assist in special projects

• Prepare monthly/quarterly Fixed Asset Register to be reviewed by management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, Accounting

• CPA license preferred

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work in the energy industry or related field

• Familiar with IFRS and US GAAP

• Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred

• Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships

• Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space

• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams

• Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines

• Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables

• Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team

• Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities

• Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds

• Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable

• Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts

• This position is hybrid

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois is $62,000-93,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
